Ryan Shannon, CJE, Treasurer
Ryan Shannon, CJE, is an accomplished public relations professional, holding the prestigious Accredited in Public Relations (APR) designation, and is widely regarded as an expert in media relations and sports management. With more than two decades of experience in communications, he transitioned to education to impart his knowledge and skills to the next generation of leaders. Currently serving as the broadcast, digital media and yearbook instructor at Ephrata High School, Shannon’s expertise in corporate branding, graphic communications and media is highly sought after for consultation. He is deeply committed to his teaching role and also serves as the adviser for Ephrata High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter and The Eye, the school’s esteemed yearbook. In addition to his instructional duties, Shannon is the director and executive producer of TigerVision, Ephrata High School’s journalism and multimedia program. TigerVision is renowned for its coverage of more than 100 athletic and extracurricular events, along with special content produced for the school district and community partners. As a former collegiate and high school athletic administrator, Shannon brings a wealth of experience to his role as the “Tiger Voice” at sporting events, captivating audiences with his announcements. Complementing his involvement in education and media, Shannon is an integral part of the Ephrata High School softball program’s coaching staff. A dedicated family man with four daughters, he treasures moments spent with his loved ones, enjoys travel and has a passion for music. Additionally, he actively contributes to Scholastic Journalism Week as a member of the planning committee, further underscoring his commitment to advancing scholastic journalism. Shannon holds memberships in esteemed organizations including the Journalism Education Association, National Scholastic Press Association, Student Television Network, Academy of Scholastic Broadcasting, and the Future Business Leaders of America.
