Our association is strong with over 90 members state-wide and remains one of the most active state organizations in the country. We have been so fortunate to have our excellent executive director Kathy Schrier, for the last 20 years, to do all of the things that make our programs, projects, camps, and all our activities work so flawlessly.
Kathy has decided to retire from her duties as executive director at the end of this year, 2025. I applaud her decision to take time for her family. She will be greatly missed and the Board will be establishing a transition team to help us move ahead.
Here are some exciting things the board is looking at:
- Transition to a new, more interactive, online membership system
- An A.I. policy
- Establishing Regional Ambassador structure to strengthen our state-wide service
- A point person for each event to coordinate the event
- Transition team:Exploring all options, Interim Executive Director
As always we encourage all members to attend board meetings as you are able. We have been meeting via Zoom Link so if you would like to be a part of our August 23rd meeting just send me an email at [email protected] and I will make sure you are included in the link email.
