WJEA’s annual Journalism Day at the University of Washington saw its largest turnout in five years on Sept. 20, with 526 students and their media advisers representing 26 schools. The fast-paced day featured 24 journalism professionals who gave morning sessions on a range of topics followed by lunch at the Husky Union Building.

After lunch, keynote speaker Joshua Trujillo, Chief Visual Storyteller for Starbucks, Inc., shared his own story as a professional photographer who has seen his work published in media around the country and the world.

Journalism Day 2019 will be on Thursday, Sept. 19 (always the third Thursday in September.)
