The WJEA summer Adviser Workshop offers practical training that will empower you to build and strengthen your program. Separate sessions for beginning and experienced advisers. Intensive instruction in current software, including InDesign and Photoshop.
Beginning advisers learn from last year’s JEA Adviser Inspiration Award-winner, veteran newspaper and yearbook adviser Joy Lessard. Experienced advisers learn from this year’s Expert in Residence Linda Ballew, CJE: 2005 Dow Jones national Newspaper Teacher of the Year and JEA’s 2006 national Distinguished Yearbook Adviser, who will keynote and participate in large group activities. Major sessions in desktop publishing using InDesign and Photoshop.
On the beautiful campus of Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA
INFORMATION:
Advisers: 3 nights’ lodging, all meals and materials. Transportation from SeaTac Airport available, arranged in advance.
Central Washington University is two hours and one mountain pass east of Seattle.
Two graduate credits or 20 clock hours available.
